History


Architectural Studio AMŠ Partners. founded in August 2004 by Ing. arch. Marian Šovčík, CSc., Who previously worked as an authorized freelance architect. At that time, he has worked on more than 50 projects, studies and competition proposals, out of which over 20 have been realized not only as a general designer but also as their author and co-author.

In 2004 he founded an architectural studio in Banská Bystrica under the name AMŠ Partners. He began to work with architect Ing. arch. Pavlom Zaryš and the cooperation also addressed the successful Slovak architect Doc. Ing. arch. Branislav Somor, PhD, Ing. Ida Gregorova, Ing. Karol Zaremba, Ing. Filip Šovčík Ing. Zuzana Hažíkova, Ing. Janka Lepényová. However, young architects also benefit from the company's activities: Ing. arch. Juraj Šestak, Ing. arch. Martin Brida, Ing. arch. Simona Šovčíková. The studio cooperated with top experts in Slovak urbanism such as prof. Tibor Alexy and prof. Filip Trnkus. The external collaborators of the studio are also many important specialized companies from Bratislava, Banská Bystrica, Košíc and Trnava.

Among the foreign investors with whom the studio cooperated are LIDL. In 2006, the atelier won a Lettestone Emerging Europe Fund (LEEF) competition for project documentation of the Prsianska Terasa apartment complex in Banská Bystrica and in 2007 a home investor competition for project documentation of the Brezinky Recreation Area.

Ing arch. Marian Šovčík, CSc.


Ing arch. Marian Šovčík, CSc., Authorized architect SKA graduate of the Faculty of Architecture, Slovak Technical University (SVŠT) in Bratislava. Between 1982 and 1987 he graduated from the Doctoral study on Intensification of Urban Structures. Since graduation, it has worked not only in practice, but also within the pedagogical and scientific-research process.

From 1974-1994 he worked at the Department of Architecture of the City of Banska Bystrica as a specialist in urban planning and spatial planning and deputy director. In 1994-1999 he was the Head of the Department of Spatial Development of the City of Banská Bystrica. In 1999 he completed a training project titled Planning for Community Development in England.

Within the pedagogical process, he worked in 1998-2005 as a university lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Natural Sciences of Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica, where he lectured the subject of Development of Town Buildings and Territorial Planning.
Since 2007, he has lectured at a foreign private university, the Banking Institute, Prague University, which has a detached workplace in Banská Bystrica.

In 2003, VEGA participated in the research project:” Square – spatial phenomenon of urban structure.” He also acted as a member of the Scientific Council of the Faculty of Architecture of the Faculty of Architecture in Bratislava, as well as in public positions as a member of the editorial board of the Project magazine, a member of the Advisory Group for the Assistance in Local Government Reform Project and a member of the Coordination, Advisory and Initiative Body for the Environment Healthy City of Banská Bystrica.

In 1995, the Polyfunctional House Arkádia, Banská Bystrica, won the honorary award in the Structure of the Year competition.

Ing. arch. Pavel Záriš


Ing. arch. Pavel Záris, the authorized architect SKA, graduate of the Faculty of Architecture, Slovak Technical University (SVŠT) in Bratislava. After completing the school, he worked in practice.

In 1988-98 he worked at the NAPANT Administration in Banská Bystrica as head of the landscape care department, where he specialized in landscape protection.

In 1994 and 1996 he graduated from England in the field of landscape design and conservation. He collaborated on the creation of the Low Tatras, the Low Tatras National Park Program.
